Description of Events

 

The events listed are those organised by the BPA nationally and are all run in accordance with the BPA Competition Organisers Manual.

British Championships:
Singles, Doubles, Triples, Ladies Doubles and Triples, Junior Doubles and Triples, Mixed Doubles,
These competitions are run on the Barrage and Knockout format.

British Over 50's Doubles:
This is run as League and Knockout.

Grand Prix Series:
The series is open to all members of the BPA. Players may enter individual events or the whole series of 4 Grand Prix.
They are run on the Barrage and Knockout system with accumulated points being taken from each event and the top 16 teams overall proceeding to the International Qualifiers weekend event.

Founders Cup (Doubles) / Champion Of Champions (Triples):
These competitions are for the winners and runners up of each regions' closed regional competitions. They are played to the Snake system with the top 4 teams proceeding to a knockout stage. The 2 teams from each region are kept apart until the final. The winning region will host the competition the following year.

British Open Shooting Challenge
This competition is open to all members of the BPA. The event is run on the F.I.P.J.P World Shooting Championship format and rules. 

British Shooting Championship:
This competition is for the winners and runners up of each closed regional shooting competition.

Inter-Regional Championship:
This is played in two divisions over 12 rounds. Each regional team will consist of 8 senior teams and 1 junior team.

 

Note: Teams of 4 players are permitted in all triples competitions.
